The southern city, however, gave the “Red Lantern” and have a two-point cushion. Jano (25th) ensured a tailor-made start, but thanks to Kolja Pusch (49th / penalty) and Sinan Bakis (73rd) the turn came. The Admira won again after four games without a win. Mattersburg took over the initiative in the Pappelstadion at the beginning. After a Mahrer cross, Jano came to a conclusion from a difficult position and put the ball in the 25th minute in the far corner. Admira goalie Andreas Leitner was without a chance, but saved his team from conceding the second goal later (37.).

After the restart, the people from southern Germany presented themselves as replaced, clearly setting the tone. Pusch failed due to Markus Kuster (48th). Immediately afterwards Martin Pusic got the ball in the penalty area with a Hjulmand cross and Pusch used the penalty. Kuster guessed the corner but was unable to prevent the 27-year-old’s third goal of the season. After an hour, Marcus Maier and Roman Kerschbaum missed a double chance.
It got even more dangerous in the 69th minute with a Matttersburg chance: Andreas Gruber slammed a free kick on the crossbar, while Patrick Burger, who had just been substituted, Erwin Hoffer saved in the slide for his beaten goalie. It was Hoffer’s last action and when Bakis was brought in, Zvonimir Soldo had a golden hand.
The “Joker” came to the ball a bit happily, curled Kuster and shot confidently. His twelfth goal of the season was a very important one. Mattersburg threw everything forward again in a highly competitive game with 13 yellow cards in the finish, but more than a few controversial situations in the penalty area did not look out. This means that the Admira in the Pappelstadion are already four games unbeaten (two wins, two draws).
