From this Sunday, August 23, the people of Sumapaz from Cundinamarca will be able to enjoy the first inter-municipal sports circuit in the country, a bicycle lane, with exclusive use of the entire road for cyclists.
Between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., citizens over 18 years of age will have at their disposal an exclusive lane in which they can make a 17 km circuit by bicycle, strictly following the biosafety and road safety protocols.

The route between Fusagasugá and Arbeláez will have six hydration and permanent care points and three free bike workshop service stations.
At the beginning of each point of the circuit, the participants will be registered and controlled, verifying temperature, social distancing, use of face masks, bicycle disinfection, use of helmet and other road safety elements.

During the day, there will also be a bicycle “tagging” for users who wish to access this registry, which is being promoted in the department to mitigate the impact of bicycle theft.

This first pilot exercise is led by the Department of Transportation and Mobility Secretariat and is coordinated by the Cundinamarca Institute for Recreation and Sports- INDEPORTES-, the Cundinamarca Police, the Traffic Police, the Arbeláez and Fusagasugá mayors. .
