Bulawayo Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stealing Car and Cash Following One-Night Stand
BULAWAYO – A 22-year-old woman from Bulawayo has been apprehended by police after allegedly stealing a US$70,000 vehicle and US$1,000 in cash from a man she met for a one-night stand. The suspect, Nicole Dube of New Parklands, is accused of committing the theft on July 15 after spending the night at the complainant’s residence in Khumalo.
According to Inspector Nomalanga Msebele of Bulawayo police, the complainant met Dube in Parklands and invited her to his home. After spending the evening together, they retired to bed around 10 PM. While the complainant was asleep, Dube allegedly took his wallet containing US$1,000 from his trousers pocket and left the premises.
the complainant discovered Dube and his Toyota Tundra, valued at US$70,000, were missing around midnight. The keys to a BMW were also reported stolen. Later, the complainant received information that his Tundra had crashed into a wall near Chicken Inn, close to the Tredgold Magistrates Court, and had been abandoned.
