Buggingen: Cycle path on federal road 3 near Buggingen has to be closed temporarily – Government Presidium: Traffic obstructions for bicycle traffic should be kept as low as possible – school bus runs according to plan

The regional council of Freiburg (RP) has pointed out that when building the roundabout on the B 3 at Breitenweg in Buggingen (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald) the cycle path along the main road must also be adjusted. The RP asks for understanding that this would not be possible without the cycle path being blocked twice. Also because of the laying of supply lines for the new industrial area, a blocking of the bike path could not be avoided. However, a concept is currently being developed together with the municipality of Buggingen to keep the cycle path closures as short as possible.

The bike path can be used as usual from Hügelheim to the new industrial area on Breitenweg. Then the wheel must be pushed in the area of the construction site for safety reasons. If this is not possible, the bike traffic is directed south of the Breitenweg over the vineyard. Cyclists are requested to follow the local signs and, for safety reasons, only use the specified routes. As the RP assures, the closure of the bike path will be kept to a minimum. There are no restrictions for school bus and scheduled traffic. This was led around the construction site on a makeshift bypass.
