Twenty minutes before the opening, a row of cars was already waiting on Sunday at the buffalo and cow drive-in of farmer Keysers-Dekker in St. Antonius.

Buffalo farmer Wendy Dekker panicked slightly when she saw the queue, “but it gradually calmed down and afterwards it was a constant procession all day long,” says Wendy. Visitors could place their order of farm products upon arrival, from fresh buffalo milk over feta cubes to mozzarella and prepared buffalo meat. There were also cow’s milk products, vegetables, fruits, eggs and honey from fellow farmers. All very hard locally.
The visitors then drove through the dairy barn, past the buffalo swimming ponds to drive through the cowshed to the exit again, where their order could be paid without contact. The best of all was that the cows also visibly enjoyed all the attention and hugs. The drive-in is still accessible every day until next Sunday between 10 am and 3 pm at Raymond Delbekestraat 211 in Sint-Antonius. kma
