The National Council of the BSP to suspend the party’s participation in the ruling quadruple coalition, insist the City Council of the party in Plovdiv.

The position was adopted unanimously yesterday, but today it was announced at a solemn meeting on the occasion of 144 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria.

“Our position expresses our deep concern at what is happening. A similar common position was expressed by all municipal chairmen in Plovdiv district. We join and declare that the BSP must behave in a nationally responsible manner to ensure that the Bulgarian people live in peace.” said the chairwoman of the City Council of the BSP – Plovdiv Dimitrina Vakrilova before the solemn assembly, held in front of the monument to Skobel’s mother.

The position sent to the media also states that the members of the City Council of BSP Plovdiv announce their support for Stefan Yanev and support the BSP National Council to suspend the party’s participation in “this disastrous governing coalition.”

The BSP – Plovdiv adds that they are against all attempts of our country to be involved in the conflict, which will have unpredictable results for the national interests of Bulgaria.

“It is high time that such decisions were widely discussed in the party, because the sole leadership of Cornelia Ninova is on the verge of erasing the BSP from Bulgarian political life … The recent actions of the parliamentary group for the time being demonstrate complete disregard for the will of the Socialists. The BSP has no place in a coalition of apologists for the war with the support of GERB, “the Plovdiv Socialists added in their position.

“If the party leadership does not want to cover itself with a view to pulling Bulgaria into a military conflict, this must soon be the departure of this disgraceful coalition,” the BSP-Plovdiv concluded in a letter.
