Friday morning, two boats equipped with sonar and a team of divers were busy, in vain.

Finally on Saturday, the federal police had carried out searches by helicopter in the vicinity of the bed of the Senne between Vilvoorde and the Zennegat, near Mechelen, where the Senne, the Dyle and the Leuven Canal meet.

Research had resumed on Sunday in the Brussels-Scheldt canal.
