They claim that Jamie Spears, the singer’s father, is refusing to give her any autonomy. Spears senior took custody of his daughter after the singer’s mental breakdown in 2008. Over the years, there have been several lawsuits over Jamie’s conservatorship, but these took place behind closed doors at his request.

entertainment">Jamie recently called the fans’ action a conspiracy theory, and that shot his daughter in the wrong direction, according to the legal documents. “This is not conspiracy or madness, as Jamie calls it,” her lawyers say about the protests of her fans. “Much of this suspicion is understandable and the result of Jamie’s aggressive secrecy over the years of sharing as little useful information as possible with the public.”
