British Sabina Nessa (28) murdered a few meters from her home | Abroad

Nessa had been missing since Friday night. Her body was found on Saturday in Cator Park, south-east London. She was believed to have been killed on the shortest route between her home and a cafe where she was meeting with a friend.

Sabina Nessa was of mixed descent, which is why racist motives are not completely excluded. She taught at Rushey Green Primary School.

The attack was filmed by surveillance cameras. The images would show that the woman was struck on the head with an object just a few meters from her house. Then a man carried her body on his shoulders and dumped her in a park further down the road.

Suspect arrested

The first suspect, a 38-year-old man, was arrested on Thursday evening. Police have also released images of a second person they would like to identify. Images of a gray car have also been released, which the police suspect may be linked to the man.

Six months ago, the British capital was already startled by the murder of a young woman, Sarah Everard. The prime suspect in that case, police officer Wayne Couzens, has confessed to kidnapping, raping and murdering Everard. His verdict is expected next week.
