The organizers of the concert point out that with the album “Seventeen Seconds”, the band gradually turned to a new, gloomier style, which together with Smith’s stage image influenced the emerging genre of Gothic rock, as well as the entire subculture that developed around this genre. Since then, “The Cure” is considered one of the pioneers and brightest representatives of the Gothic rock. The band’s most commercial album was Disintegration in 1989.

During his career, the band has released 13 studios, several concert and favorite albums, and more than 40 singles, selling more than 30 million records. In 2019, The Cure was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
