British quarantine regulations relaxed, probably also for the Netherlands

The UK will scrap its quarantine measure for travelers from abroad for a number of countries. The Netherlands is also expected to be on that list.

Since June 8, the rule has been that people entering the UK must be quarantined for two weeks. As of July 6, that measure will expire for people arriving from countries that the UK government believes have a low corona risk.

The list of countries will be published next week. According to the BBC probably include Italy, the Netherlands and Germany. The mandatory quarantine period is reportedly being maintained for travelers from Portugal and Sweden.

British can go on holiday again

The official advice to British people to only make essential trips abroad is also relaxed for certain countries. That makes it easier for British people to celebrate their summer holidays abroad.

The announcements are in line with the UK government’s policy of gradually easing corona measures. This must, among other things, absorb the economic blows. A group of top British medics wrote there this week a letter of fire to parliament: the allegations would come too early.
