Lawyers for the American, who filed a lawsuit against British Prince Andrew on charges of rape, have sent court documents to Britain, Reuters and the Associated Press reported.

They have arrived at the London police station, which is to hand them over to Queen Elizabeth II’s son, who is accused of sexual violence. This is part of the American procedure for notifying a civil lawsuit, BTA reports.

The Duke of York has 21 days to respond to allegations by plaintiff Virginia Juffre, who is seeking financial compensation. A judge in the United States will then decide whether to grant the woman’s claim and initiate proceedings.

If the prince does not answer, the judge will start the case ex officio.

A representative of Andrew has not yet commented.

The son of the British queen has repeatedly denied the allegations of Virginia Juffre (38), after it became clear that in early August she filed a civil lawsuit in court in Manhattan.

He is accused of raping the plaintiff three times when she was 17 years old. In addition, the Duke of York beat her.

Virginia Juffre has repeatedly made accusations against the British prince, but for the first time decided to take legal action against him.

Andrew categorically rejected her claims in an interview with the BBC in November 2019. He questioned the authenticity of a photo in which he hugged Juffre.

The American is one of the accusers of the financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of trafficking in minors for sexual exploitation. He died in prison in Manhattan in the summer of 2019.

The complaint against Andrew claims that Epstein and his girlfriend Gislane Maxwell forced Juffre to have sex with the British prince.
