British Health agrees to give a new treatment to cancer patients that allows them to live longer

Translation exclusiveThe NHS’ spending watch has approved a three-drug treatment that allows blood cancer patients to live longer, which could help the 6,000 Britons with multiple myeloma a year.

Patients with an incurable form of leukemia will live longer and healthier lives thanks to the 3-drug treatment that can be taken at home.

The NHS spending watchdog decided last week to approve a batch of drugs designed to combat a form of the disease called multiple myeloma, and it will also be given to those who have failed to respond to other treatments.

Experts said that the new group of drugs is more convenient for patients because it comes in the form of tablets that can be taken without medical supervision at most, and patients will have to take 3 tablets per day.
