jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Commander in Chief TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto will hold a meeting with a number of Papuan community leaders in Timika on Saturday (28/11) this afternoon.
Joining the entourage of the TNI Commander, including Irwasum Polri, Komjen Pol Agung Budi Maryoto.
Asops Kaskogabwilhan III Brigadier General Suswatyo in Timika on Saturday said that the meeting between the TNI Commander and Papuan community leaders would take place at the Rimba Papua Timika Hotel.
However, Brigadier General Suswatyo said, the meeting was scheduled to last too long because the TNI Commander and his entourage would continue a working visit to Makassar, South Sulawesi.
“The Commander in Chief will hold a meeting with several community leaders. But in the implementation, it will not take too long because he still has other important agendas,” explained Brigadier General Suswatyo.
Prior to the visit of the TNI Commander in Timika, since Saturday morning the joint security forces of the TNI and Polri have been on alert at several points in Timika City, starting from Mozes Kilangin Airport to Hotel Rimba Papua.
On Saturday morning, a meeting was also held to secure the visit of the TNI Commander at the Mozes Kilangin Airport Hangar, North Timika.
“The troops have been stationed at several points, starting from the airport, the route to Hotel Rimba Papua to Hotel Rimba Papua itself. Hopefully everything can run smoothly and safely,” said Brigadier General Suswatyo.
