Bridget lost eight kilos: can still drink wine as usual

Bridget’s secret is simple: lots of protein and few carbohydrates. She managed to lose eight kilos. So, although she’s been paying close attention in recent months, she was less keen on renouncing the drink. The presenter is not averse to a glass of wine, she says herself, but Bridget is ‘lucky that she does not gain weight from drink’.


Bridget tries to eat as little bread as possible, although she does not turn down a crusty sandwich in a restaurant. “At home I have low-carbohydrate bread. Sometimes I take one slice, from which I make half a sandwich,” said the former face of TMF.

Her great love for food is the cheese board. For blue cheese, you can even wake her up at night. Bridget: “Apparently cheese is just like wine: you have to learn to appreciate it (…) I prefer to eat those kinds of things rather than caviar; I’m not a luxury cat at all.”
