Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – A fire broke out at an oil terminal in southern Saudi Arabia, Friday (26/3/2021). A projectile attacked the terminal and caused one of the tanks to catch fire.
“The projectile attack took place at the oil product distribution terminal in Jizan,” said the Ministry of Energy, Saudi Arabia, as reported Saudi Press Agency, quoted AFP.
So far no casualties have been reported. The Government of King Salman’s State also has not stated who the figure behind the action is.
But in previous attacks, Houthi rebels in Yemen have often claimed responsibility. The group has clashed with Saudi Arabia over the politics of Yemen’s rulers.
This attack came days after Saudi Arabia offered a ceasefire to the group, with UN oversight. The conflict between the two has occurred for six years.
