The captain of FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi, equaled former Brazilian footballer Edson Arantes do Nascimento, ‘Pelé’, as the top scorer for the same club thanks to the goal he achieved against Valencia on matchday 14 of the League, 643 with the culé shirt.
Pelé achieved 643 goals with Santos between 1957 and 1974, while the Argentine FC Barcelona player has done so since 2005, the year of his debut with the first team, to 2020, in a total of 748 games as a Barcelona player spread over 17 seasons.
