Minutes later, the Sørøst Police District announced on Twitter that medical personnel had been giving the man life-saving medical treatment.

It was at 00:37 that the emergency services were informed of the accident. Then all the agencies moved and, according to Groth, additional resources were also on the way, when Drammens Tidende asked at 00.54 if a helicopter had been used in the search.

At 01:40, Groth says the message about the person in the water must have arrived shortly after the person fell.
– Have you talked to witnesses of the accident?
– We talked to witnesses at the scene, yes. There were quite a few people around the river at the time, so we have a little overview. I can’t say anything about what witnesses have explained so far, Groth tells Drammens Tidende.
The operations manager had nothing new so far about the person who was rescued from the water.
– He was transported to the hospital in Drammen. I don’t know the details of how he is, but he is receiving treatment there. Seaking helicopter has landed and is providing assistance.
