BPOM Issues AstraZeneca Vaccine Emergency Use Permit

Jakarta, CNBC IndonesiaHead of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) Penny K Lukito revealed the latest vaccine that has entered Indonesia, namely AstraZeneca. There are 11,460 vaccine vials with 1,113,600 doses.

“BPOM has processed the safety, quality and efficacy of the vaccine. The process has been approved by BPOM for special access,” said Penny, Tuesday (9/3/2021).

According to Penny, BPOM has conducted a sampling test and provided a certificate. “This is reassuring to the quality aspect of the vaccine,” he said.

AstraZeneca, according to Penny, was developed by Oxford University.
