He told BTV that he would respond to such an invitation from the next chief prosecutor. Yesterday Ivan Geshev invited Rashkov to a working meeting. This came just hours after the interior minister said the newly appointed heads of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and the State Agency for National Security would be summoned for questioning by prosecutors, suggesting it was an attempt to disrupt work in the Ministry of Investigation for the Unauthorized Use of Special Intelligence Means (SRS) to Eavesdrop on Politicians. Again yesterday, the prosecutor’s office published information with photos that Geshev actually met with the new heads of the CDCOC and SANS – Kalin Stoyanov and Plamen Tonchev. However, the meetings were standard and working, discussing topics related to the cooperation between the services and the prosecution, it is stated in the announcement and it is explicitly specified that the working meeting with Plamen Tonchev was at his request.
