The boxer from the Sauerland stable received the third defeat in his 34th professional fight. Feigenbutz was not the first German boxer to win a world title in the USA 90 years after Max Schmeling. Plant is now undefeated in 20 battles.

Technically inferior to Fig Fig

In the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Feigenbutz had no chance against the technically significantly better American. The faster and more variable plant won every round. Feigenbutz was unable to face his rival and rarely managed to score individual hits.

The American, on the other hand, scored several times with hit series. In the tenth round, referee Malik Waleed (USA) intervened and ended the uneven duel early.
