After a bouncy castle accident involving nine children, some of whom were seriously injured, in Gondershausen in the Hunsrück, investigations into negligent bodily harm have been initiated. The police are collecting data and information about the course of the accident and questioning witnesses, said a spokesman for the Koblenz police headquarters on Monday.

The police said in the afternoon that they were “very happy” that all the children were out of danger. Four of the children have since left the clinics.

Nine injured children on a bouncy castle – rescue helicopters in action

In the accident with the bouncy castle on Sunday (July 3) during a children’s football tournament on a sports field, nine children were injured – five of them seriously.

Four patients had to be flown to clinics with a rescue helicopter, the others were transported by rescue vehicles.

According to initial police investigations on Sunday, the bouncy castle was caught by the wind and pulled up several meters. The children fell from a height of four to five meters. There was no information about the nature of the injuries.

Police are looking for witnesses after a bouncy castle accident in Gondershausen
