With these data on the table, and as usually happens when cases rise again, we turn to world health experts, to clarify the most frequent doubts about the new variants, the rebound in cases and immunity, among other aspects. In this case, Boticaria García has explained in ‘zapping‘ the three main reasons for this new wave, among which the duration of immunity stands out for those who received the third dose of the vaccine.
How long does immunity last from the third dose of the covid-19 vaccine?
First of all, it clarifies that “it should not be very surprising because if we take a look at other countries that are ahead of us with the new variants, the incidence has been increasing for weeks.” As for those reasons, first of all, “the new variants have come out super smart and they bypass the immunity we already hadeither because of the vaccines or because of having passed it”.
On the other hand, “right now there are practically no measures to contain the virus, there are no face maskthere are no distances, then it has returned to life as we knew it”, and furthermore, “The vaccine prevents contagion, at most four or six months and we vaccinated ourselves with the third dose, those of us who got it, a little while ago”Explain.
On the other hand, from The sixth, has ruled on how long the covid will last among us, the expert assures that “you cannot know”, but reveals that, a few days ago, an investigator explained to her that the flu of 18 “took about 4 or 5 years to recover normality”, and adds that “we have to live with it yes or yes, and less so with such clever variants”.
