Russia presents its imperial ambitions for domination as “liberation”, tried to turn Bulgarian citizens into serfs, and demanded gratitude from Bulgaria.
This is what the public figure Nikolay Kolev-Bosiya writes in open letter to the Ambassador of Russia Eleonora Mitrofanova, published in his blog. The reason for his address are the claims of Ambassador Mitrofanova to the Bulgarians and her attempts to give guidelines for the policy of Bulgaria.
TO THE RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR TO BULGARIA ELEONORA MITROFANOVA
Here is what you said to the Bulgarian media:
Russia has liberated Bulgaria from Turkish slavery and people remember it. This was stated to BTV by the Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova.
I want to tell you that as soon as you arrived, you began to “teach” us how grateful we should be to you and even to be indebted to you forever for the Russo-Turkish wars, whose sole purpose is to have access to the Straits and fulfill the imperial your dream of the 16th century to be the world’s largest empire and decide what other nations on earth should do. This is what you called in your then strategy “Russia – Third Rome”.
You obviously have the mentality of a collective farmer, because you continue to present yourself to us as “liberators” and not as conquerors, as is the truth. If you are literate, you would read the book “History of Russian Diplomacy” by your famous diplomat and publicist Sergei Spiridonovich Tatishchev, published in 1890 in St. Petersburg.
It is not bad to know that Russia was categorically against the unification of Bulgaria and when it nevertheless became a fact, you directed your strategic “partner” – Serbia, to attack Bulgaria from behind when our entire army was on the Bulgarian-Turkish border. You organized and financed the so-called “September Uprising”, the so-called “Partisan Movement”, and after September 9, 1944, you stormed out when you took over our territory by declaring war without a single shot being fired at you.
During the First World War you invaded Bulgaria for no reason and bombed civilians on our northern Black Sea coast.
After your entry into our country in 1944, according to your “strategy”, you killed tens of thousands of Bulgarians and once again collected our valuables and gold. In this way you tried to turn the Bulgarian citizens into serfs, as all ordinary people in your country were until 1861.
You falsified our history, restricted our access to true education and culture, took away our property, physically destroyed our intelligentsia, and self-appointed as “Double Liberators”!
Such impudence comes to me more.
If you haven’t studied enough and don’t know the truth, you just have to give up your embassy and go back to learn. If you do it consciously – then I declare you a Persona non grata in our country.
I do not address you with “Your Excellency”, because you surpass normal people only with impudence, shallowness and lack of morality.
Let those who excel in the above indicators address you with “Your Excellency”.
Unfortunately, there are some in our country and they are definitely in power. And are in power because of your and other empires desire.
Finally, I want to explain to you what slavery means, because you obviously don’t know. A slave is a person who does not pay taxes due to lack of property, cannot leave his master because he is his property and risks his life, and cannot hold administrative positions.
If you knew this term, you would not replace the exact term “Ottoman rule” in the Bulgarian lands with your “slavery”. Because the Bulgarian, then, paid heavy taxes, traded with Europe, Asia and Africa, had a home, family, land and business.
For me, you and your colleagues are unwanted in the Republic of Bulgaria!
