The distribution of the photos became an occasion the Prime Minister to give an extraordinary briefing with the entire GERB leadership behind him, on which he announced that he was being attacked with compromising material, made according to a KGB textbook. However, the prime minister then confirmed that the photos were from the interior of Boyana, and suggested because of the appearance of the carpet that the compromising material was from a year ago – during the preparations for the European elections, when he met there with party members.
