Boris Johnson warns Putin not to repeat Skripal case

The British government leader was referring to the case that occurred in 2018, with the attempted poisoning with a chemical substance by the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, carried out, according to British Justice, by two agents of the Russian military intelligence services.

During a meeting today in Berlin with Putin, Boris Johnson told the Russian President that the connections between Moscow and London would not return to normal until Russia put terms to its “destabilizing activities”.

Despite this, he stressed that both countries have a responsibility to deal with international security issues, such as Libya, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

“There will be no normalization of our bilateral relationship until Russia ends its destabilizing activities that threaten the United Kingdom and our allies and that compromise the security of our citizens and our collective security,” said Johnson, quoted by France-Presse agency .

The meeting between the two leaders took place on the sidelines of the international conference taking place in Berlin to try to find a solution to the Libyan conflict.
