Bora Pharmaceuticals Filling Line – Norden Machinery Expansion

Bora Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd. has considerably boosted its production capacity with teh installation of a new filling line from Norden Machinery at its Mississauga, Ontario facility. This strategic upgrade enhances the company’s ability to handle larger volumes at higher speeds, particularly for dermatologic products, marking a substantial expansion of its manufacturing capabilities.

The new Norden filler represents the third tube-filling line at the Mississauga site,projected to produce between 7 million and 15 million units annually.This addition elevates the facility’s total production capacity to over 50 million units per year. The versatile line is equipped to process metal, plastic, and ABL tubes, featuring integrated laser printing.Furthermore, it is fully configured for comprehensive packaging, including cartoning, bundling, and automated case packing. The system’s qualification for PODA and Track and Trace serialization ensures compliance for over 20 of Bora’s global markets.

“This filling line complements our deep expertise in semi-solid formulations and strengthens our ability to help customers scale up efficiently,” stated John Lawrie, VP of Operations for Bora Pharmaceuticals. “The upgrade significantly expands our capacity, allowing us to address growing demand for high volume production not just from our current partners, but from the marketplace as a whole.”

The advanced system offers remarkable versatility, accommodating fill volumes ranging from 2g to 150g. It also supports scalability across a wide spectrum of manufacturing vessels, from 2.5Kg to 3600Kg, specifically tailored for semi-solid production. This adaptability ensures Bora can meet diverse customer requirements while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards. The facility operates under rigorous inspection by multiple global regulatory agencies, with products currently exported to North, Central, and South America, Europe, Asia, Russia, the Middle east, and Australia.
