BOLA – SAD needs € 38 million in capital gains on transfers (FC Porto)

After more than 75 million euros raised in monetary prizes in this edition of the Champions League, Fernando Gomes starts to do accounts in the second half of the year for the 2020/2021 season and ensures that SAD will have to do at least 38 million euros in capital gains from the sale of player passes. The manager explained that the money from the option to buy Danilo for PSG (16 million) and Vítor Ferreira for Wolverhampton (20 million) must guarantee the desired balance.

«For everything to go as we wish, with the profit margin we had in our budget, we still need to do something like 38 million euros in capital gains by the end of the season. Which, practically, Danilo and Vitinha guaranteed. We were relatively calm ”, he assumes, assuring, however, that it is imperative for FC Porto to be present in the next group stage of the Champions, either directly as the champion or, alternatively, finishing the championship in second place, which, to Portugal’s current ranking on UEFA, allows a second team to enter the main stage of the millionaire competition.

«We do not expect anything other than to participate in the next edition of the Champions League. Failure to do so would be a huge blow and would bring us immense financial difficulties », he warns.
