BOLA – PJ denies having hired Rui Pinto (Justice)

In a statement, the Judiciary Police clarified yesterday that it did not hire Rui Pinto to assist in investigations, responding to suspicions that arose during the day.

“It is not true that Rui Pinto was hired by the Judiciary Police, so the PJ does not pay Rui Pinto any wages”, guarantees the organization, clarifying that the hacker is covered by the Witness Protection Law and that the payment expenses to ensure their protection are under that program. «In carrying out its mission and in supporting the realization of Justice, the Judiciary Police reserves the right and the duty to use all legal means at its disposal, to discover the material truth of the crimes it investigates, always duly framed by the penal procedural legislation in force and by the competent Judicial Authorities ”, says the PJ.

Rui Pinto will start to be tried in September on suspicion of 90 crimes – 68 of undue access, 14 of violation of correspondence, six of illegitimate access and also for computer sabotage to Sporting’s SAD and for extortion of the Doyen investment fund.
