Bobigny: two bullets pass through the windows and embed themselves in the walls of two apartments

Families are “traumatized” according to testimonies. Two shots hit, on the evening of Thursday, May 13, two apartments in a building, located in the Cité de l’Abreuvoir, in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis). No injuries are to be deplored but a bullet would have landed in the room of a child according to a witness. An investigation was opened this night “for willful violence with a weapon”, indicates the Parquet of Bobigny.

The police intervened around 8 p.m. on Thursday evening. During her intervention, she found the two bullet holes at the scene. The shots would come from outside the city. They passed through two windows before embedding themselves in the walls of the two apartments, located side by side on the first floor of the building. Furthermore, the weapon was not found.

“The origin of the shots remains undetermined”

For the time being, “the origin of the shots remains undetermined”, specifies the parquet floor of Bobigny. For their part, the tenants “declared that they had no dispute with anyone”, with the police.

Several avenues are being explored. The hypothesis of a settling of scores in the street below the building which would have caused two stray bullets is not ruled out. The judicial police have been seized of the investigation.

This is not the first time that stray bullets have ended up in apartments in Bobigny. In 2017, Kalashnikov bullets ended up in the walls of two apartments located on the 14th and 15th floors, in the Karl-Marx city. Still no injuries. More seriously, in Bondy, a few months earlier, a twelve-year-old girl had been injured in the back by a bullet that had passed through the wall of her room.
