He is currently in front of the camera for the sixth season of the series “Better Call Saul”. But during the shooting, actor Bob Odenkirk collapsed and was taken to a hospital.

It’s the role of his life: Actor and comedian Bob Odenkirk became world famous as the sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman in the series “Breaking Bad”. The character he played was so popular that the American cable broadcaster AMC commissioned a spin-off for “Breaking Bad” in 2013, with Goodman at the center.

Since it first aired in 2015, Better Call Saul has been very well received by audiences. The sixth season is currently being shot. However, an incident occurred: According to US media reports, Odenkirk collapsed on the set in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

As reported by the celebrity portal “TMZ”, the film team had to call the ambulance that took the 58-year-old to a nearby hospital. According to the report, the actor is currently still being treated there. What exactly caused the collapse is not yet known.

Well-being wishes to Bob Odenkirk

Michael McKean, who plays Saul Goodman’s brother Chuck in the series, sent the actor well wishes via Twitter. “You can do it, brother”; he wrote on the network.

The sixth season of “Better Call Saul” will also be the last. It should actually be broadcast this year. However, due to the corona pandemic, there were delays in filming. A broadcast is now planned for the coming year. In Germany, the series can be seen on Netflix.

Over the course of his long career, Bob Odenkirk has done a lot more than playing the role of Saul Goodman. He has been active as a comedian, actor, director, and producer since the early 1990s. As the author of the “Ben Stiller Show” he received two Emmys, for his work on “Better Call Saul” he was nominated a total of nine times for the television Oscar.
