Bob abruptly ends party mood in KzK: ‘Bad news’

Bonne and Michiel’s wish list is one that Bob and Alex have seen before. The two men are looking for a single-family home with a straight-lined first floor, at least two bedrooms and a study, a spacious open kitchen and a sunny garden with a roof. With a budget of 450,000 euros, the men hope that all their wishes can come true.

Although real estate agent Alex van Keulen misunderstands a few in the beginning, he eventually comes across a beautiful home. The good things still need to be done, but if it turns out that Bonne’s house can be sold for a good price, another 25,000 euros will be released. The house Alex has in mind is eventually bought for 412,000 euros, which means that there is 62,000 euros to renovate the house.

Bob has big plans, but also realizes that things are going to be very tight. When he is also faced with an unpleasant surprise, he loses heart. He decides to call the men and immediately falls for the door. “I have bad news. The house turns out to have quite a bit of asbestos. And that has quite a price tag. It costs 15,000 euros to have it removed.” Bob explains that this means that the men will have to free up extra money or adjust their wish list. Fortunately for Bob, the men appear not to want to make any concessions when it comes to their enjoyment of living, and they manage to scrape together 15,000 euros. And it doesn’t stop there, because in the end they let it be known that they will release another 25,000 euros.

For all that extra money you naturally expect something nice in return and that turns out to be successful. When the new home is shown at the end of the episode, the men can’t believe their luck. “That’s beautiful, it’s really big, isn’t it?”, Bonne remarks. Michiel is also pleased with the end result. “It’s really our style. I just don’t know what to say.”

Buy without Looking can be seen every Monday at 8.30 p.m. on RTL 4 or can be viewed at Videoland.
