The BMW CE 04 electric scooter is officially launched in Indonesia. This is the first electric motorcycle brought by BMW Motorrad Indonesia. How much does this eco-friendly scooter cost?
The Indonesian government is currently focusing on developing electric vehicles to reduce exhaust emissions from conventional vehicles. Agents of the motorcycle brand owner (APM) have begun to compete to market environmentally friendly products.
To support government policies, BMW Motorrad Indonesia launched a futuristic-style electric scooter, the BMW CE 04. The scooter was first introduced globally in July 2021.

In appearance, the BMW CE 04 has a futuristic design with a large front and a solid body. This engine is already wearing full LED lights. The headlights are equipped with powerful LEDs and Adaptive Headlight Pro.
In terms of performance, the BMW CE 04 is equipped with a 42 hp electric motor and a maximum torque of 62 Nm at 1,500 rpm, using a 60.6 Ah battery. This zero-emission vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 50 km / h in 2.6 seconds. As for the speed, it can reach a maximum speed of 120 km / h and when the battery is charged it can go up to a distance of 130 km, with a single charge of 4 hours and 20 minutes.
Using the fast charge from empty to full takes 1 hour and 40 minutes. When charging from 20% to 80%, it only takes 45 minutes.

The front suspension of this scooter uses a 35mm diameter telescopic pattern, while the rear suspension uses a unique pattern. So the front tires use the size 120/70 R15 67H, while the rear tires measure 160/60 R15 56H. The braking system uses double discs at the front and single discs at the rear. The braking system is equipped with the latest generation ABS and ABS Pro.
Advanced electronic devices are also incorporated, such as Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), four riding modes: Eco, Rain, Road and Dynamic.
The instrument cluster uses a 10.25-inch TFT screen, which integrates map navigation and direct connectivity via BMW Motorrad Connected apps. Then there are also side and front storage compartments. The side helmet compartment can now be operated while seated.
The BMW CE 04 is available in two color options, namely Light White for the standard version, while the Avantgarde Style version is available in Magellan Gray with black-orange seats. This electric motorcycle is priced at IDR 380 million off-road.
Sukimin Thio, CEO of BMW Motorrad Indonesia, said his party is trying to bring in as many units as possible to fulfill customer orders. “There have been orders from loyal consumers of BMW Motorrad. Our target is AB + or medium-high consumers,” Sukimin said in his statement.
