Blumenthal: Advisory Board distributes money – Die Norddeutsche: Latest news

The advisory boards support various projects in the city districts with global funds. The Blumenthal Advisory Board has around 61,000 euros a year at its disposal, which are awarded in two installments. Around 41,136 euros are in the pot for the first distribution round, of which the district parliament has now distributed around 37,402 euros.

Sports clubs, social and cultural institutions benefit. A total of 27 projects are funded. The highest grant, 8,000 euros, goes to the organizers of the street art festival La Strada, which is also discovering the north of Bremen this year. According to organizer Gabriele Koch, a Corona issue with individual events and audience restrictions is planned on the site of the former Bremen wool combing factory in September, whether it will be on one day or two days has not yet been determined.

The Blumenthal Library Association, which wants to update the library’s literature, and the Blumenthaler Gymnastics Association to finance a training camp for gymnasts will each receive EUR 3,000. The Friends of Rhythmic Gymnastics Bremen-Nord wants to buy a media car to prepare the athletes for the German championships, the advisory board gives 2590 euros. The Kreissportbund Bremen-Nord receives 2500 euros for this year’s summer vacation program.

The Caritas Association Bremen-Nord receives money for three projects in the Farge youth home: for two folding pavilions (999.98 euros), a beautification campaign for the house and garden (1410.08 euros) and the rental of sports and play equipment (1500 euros). The advisory board has also approved three applications from the Blumenthal Documentation Center. The redesign of the program booklet is supported with 1816 euros, the conversion of a downpipe for the rain barrel with 300 euros and events as part of the “Host Language” series with 73.98 euros.

The association for gymnastics and dance applied for five projects, three are being funded. Financial help is available for children’s gymnastics (1048.95 euros), new gymnastics equipment for the “Young Family in Swing” group (759 euros) and the summer holiday creative workshop (744 euros). The advisory board has postponed two further applications from the association for a competition trampoline for 4100 euros and an inflatable gymnastics mat for around 2200 euros to the second round of funding.

So it was now possible to consider applications from other associations. The Quartier association receives 1000 euros for a cultural project in Blumenthal, the work and learning center 2000 euros for the environmental watchdog, and the district sports association Bremen-Nord 1700 euros for a car trailer. The advisory board supports the musical development funding at the Free Waldorf School Bremen-Nord with 1000 euros. The Rönnebeck canoe club needs a new club boat and receives 875 euros for it.

The Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus Bremen association is planning an intercultural theater week at the Tami-Oelfken primary school in Lüssum, and a theater group from Berlin will be offering workshops. The advisory board is adding 800 euros. The Epsymo association for psychomotor material will receive 635 euros, and the ecology station will receive 500 euros for printing the new annual program. 490.30 euros will go to the Kravmaga association for new medicine balls and a coordination set, while athletics fans in North Bremen will receive 240 euros. You want to purchase elements for fitness games as well as tennis court screens. The Advisory Board supports the toad protection campaign in Blumenthal with 420 euros.
