A 29-year-old man from Hattingen had to watch as another driver crashed into his car. He immediately called the police.
Drunk driving: The police reports that a 45-year-old from Hattingen drove a car last Friday with two per thousand alcohol in his blood and committed an accident.

Around 6:00 p.m., the owner of a Hyundai parked on Nierenhofer Strasse saw his vehicle damaged by another driver. He saw how the stranger pushed his car while parking, stopped briefly and then just drove away without worrying about the damage caused.

License plate noted – called the police
The 29-year-old victim noted the number plate and informed the police – and they met the fugitive with fresh damage to the car at his address. The 45-year-old opened the front door and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. He admitted to driving the car, but did not find an accident. A voluntary breath alcohol test showed a value of two per thousand.

The Hattinger was taken to the hospital, where a blood sample was taken. The driver’s license and the vehicle key were confiscated. He is now being investigated for hit-and-run and drunk driving.
