For ski star Corinne Suter, things are not going well in the new World Cup season. The Swiss addresses the fans with emotional words.
After a terrible training accident, the 27-year-old compressed both shin plateaus and missed a large part of the preparation for the season.
Even so, she finished fifth and third on the Lake Louise downhill runs. In the Super-G it was only 17th. Too little for the speed specialist, who is used to success.
“I’m around 80 percent,” she admits. After her third place in Canada, she posted a photo from bad days. The picture was taken after her fall in September and shows Suter crying and with a bleeding wound on his chin.
“Usually I’m not one who publishes a lot of pictures from training sessions on social media. But people should definitely see that I’m not always well either,” says the Swiss woman at Blick.
The 27-year-old wants to fully attack again at the weekend, because the home races in St. Moritz are on the program. There are two Super-G races on Saturday and Sunday (each at 10:30 a.m.).
Suter does not have too high hopes: “It may well be that I need a little more time in the Super-G.”
