BLITARKOMPAS.com – Mayor Blitar Santoso admitted that he did not expect that former Blitar Mayor M. Samanhudi Anwar would be named a suspect in the robbery at his official residence on Jalan Sodanco Supriyadi, Blitar City on December 12, 2021.
When met after attending the graduation of Blitar Nahdlatul Ulama University students, Saturday (28/1/2023), Santoso admitted that he knew about the arrest and determination of the suspect of his former political mentor from mass media reports.

“I can’t say because it’s a condition that’s hard for me to imagine, because it was never imagined before,” said Santoso, Saturday (28/1/2023).
He also prayed that Samanhudi would be given awareness.
“That’s why we pray that God will soon give awareness, so we can return to the right path, ihdinas siratal mustaqim,” added Santoso.
Santoso said the police still had to work to reveal Samanhudi’s role in detail in the robbery case at his official residence.
“I can’t predict yet because it takes stages. The Polda will investigate the truth about what has appeared in various mass media. So that later we can be sure,” he said.
On the other hand, Santoso considers the arrest of Samanhudi by the East Java Regional Police as an important progress in efforts to uncover the robbery of his official residence.
According to Santoso, the determination of Samanhudi as a suspect has made the mystery behind the robbery case clearer.
“Thank you to the Direskrimum and its staff, the Blitar City Police Chief and his staff, who have worked hard, worked smart so that the events that happened to me personally and my family have begun to unfold little by little,” he said.
