Blinken Advises US Citizens to Depart Russia Following the Detainment of a WSJ Reporter.

“We reiterate our strong warnings about the danger to US citizens in Russia. US citizens living or traveling in Russia should leave the country immediately, as outlined in our travel advisory for Russia,” Blinken said.

He also stressed that the top priority of the State Department is the safety of US citizens abroad.

We will remind, today it became known that the journalist of The Wall Street Journal Evan Gershkovich was detained in Russia. He is allegedly accused of “spying on a Russian military-industrial complex enterprise.”

Today the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow arrested the journalist. He could face up to 20 years in prison.

The Wall Street Journal appealed to Russia demanding the dismissal of its journalist Evan Gershkovich, who was detained by the Federal Security Service.
