‘Blade’ will be a dark Marvel film that pushes the boundaries

Mahershala Ali was unveiled as the new one last summer Blade. He got a movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s been remarkably quiet around the movie ever since. Fortunately, we now know that writers are being sought.

And actor Ali told about the film and what to expect during an interview. “I kept hearing stories about how they tried to make a remake. And I thought it was cool to be able to stay in that Marvel universe. The goal for me was always that there would be a movie,” said the actor.

Very dark
Blade the Vampire doesn’t make it incredibly easy for Marvel to do anything, of course. After all, the MCU is by no means dark, while Blade can be a pretty dark comic. But according to Ali, that edge is sought.

“I like that it’s darker. When it comes to the tone, too. It’s a bit darker than the rest and I thought that was a good element that really attracted me.” Of course we now have to wait until writers are found for the film.
