To the delight of fans, Kevin Feige announced the arrival of the reboot of Blade for Phase 5 of the MCU at Comic Con in San Diego in July 2019. If we still wonder how Blade, the vampire hunter, can land in the Marvel franchise, we can at least get an idea of the look of the latter. Mahershala Ali, chosen to embody the character in the reboot, has just posted a sublime fan-art of himself as Blade. It does not specify who it is signed, but it adds in legend of its post an emoji which can only tease the arrival of the vampire hunter in the MCU: two swords that cross.
In a black and white portrait, we therefore see Mahershala Ali with a neat haircut and a small smile on the side. Of course, it is not without its two favorite accessories: black sunglasses and a sword on the back. This is exactly how we imagine the actor taking on the role of Blade. We do not yet know all the details of this reboot on the vampire hunter, but it is possible that Marvel decides to give it a less horrifying side in order to correspond to a wider audience. If fans tend to be fed up with reboots and remakes, this new project on Blade seems to please the public. We can’t wait to learn more about the vampire hunter who could become an important character in the MCU!
