‘Black corpses travel to Russia’: Ukrainian policy veteran analyzes six scenarios

The United States (US) and European partners need to prepare Russia invasion of Ukraine. Immediate economic, diplomatic, military, intelligence and humanitarian measures must be adopted Ukraine and for the benefit of the people, it also needs to be strengthened NATO eastern border, said in a report by a world-leading international security think tank. The publication by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington also describes six scenarios for what the Russian invasion might look like.

Delfi asked one of Ukraine’s most experienced statesmen, currently a member of the non-governmental sector Oleg Ribachuk, and Maxim Milt, a researcher at the German Marshall Fund, to evaluate these possible options.

The report has two authors: Philip Vasilevsky, who recently ended his 31-year career as an officer in paramilitary operations at the Central Intelligence Agency, and Seth John is vice president of CSIS, and last year’s book “Three Dangerous Men: Russia, China, Iran, and the Rise of Author of Irregular Warfare. Former Estonian President Thomas Hendrik Ilves on the article by Vasilevsky and Jones expressed succinctly: “This long article, which includes detailed possible scenarios, is a must-read for anyone interested in the future direction of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.”
