Birkenfeld. Under the influence of alcohol, a 49-year-old Dacia driver gave way to a 50-year-old VW driver on Thursday morning.
According to the current status of the investigation, according to the police, the 49-year-old was on Zeppelinstraße in Birkenfeld around 10 a.m. on Thursday and intended to turn left from there into Wildbader Straße (Bundesstraße 294).
This resulted in a collision with the privileged 50-year-old, who came from Pforzheim in his VW. The VW driver braked his vehicle, but could no longer avoid a collision. The accident resulted in property damage of around 4500 euros.
Driver has about three per thousand
A breath alcohol test showed the Dacia driver a value of around three per mille. A blood sample was taken from the man and his driver’s license was confiscated.
