By idea, the bank will provide identification of people by facial images and fingerprints. It is reported that research and development work aimed at developing the software required for the formation, maintenance and operation of a centralized databank of biometric parameters of Russians and citizens of other countries will be carried out in 2021-2023.
With the help of developments, it will be possible to carry out the identification of persons and unidentified bodies by means of fingerprinting information, an image of the appearance and genomic data. Recall that the initiative, which implies the creation of an information system that unites resources on the biometric data of Russians, was proposed six years ago by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimirov Kolokoltsev.
