Maulana Malik Ibrahim or Sunan Gresik is one of the figures who “tripe alas” in spreading Islam in Java. The story and history of the preaching of Maulana Malik Ibrahim alias Sunan Gresik began when he first arrived in Gresik in 1404. After his da’wah movement was sufficiently established, Sunan Gresik went to the capital city of Majapahit at Trowulan. The arrival of Sunan Gresik was welcomed by the King of Majapahit at that time. Even though it came to the end, the King of Majapahit remained unmoved by embracing Islam.
