Billions of crowns in taxes. See who feeds the state coffers the most in the Czech Republic

The annually published ranking of awarded companies is compiled according to the amount of payments made to the corporate income tax account during the year to the public budgets of the Czech Republic. Some companies paid more than three billion crowns.

“Every year, banks and carmakers are in the top positions,” said Tatjana Richterová, CEO of the Financial Administration.

The first place in the ranking was occupied by the car manufacturer Škoda auto, which paid 3,646,299,555 crowns in taxes and thus placed first for the fourth time in a row. Česká spořitelna then came in second with 3,265,116,000 crowns.

The third place belongs to Československá obchodní banka with 2,802,778,861 crowns paid in taxes.

“The strength of the economy is standing and falling with the condition and competitiveness of companies. During the spring shutdown of the economy and related tax breaks, we were convinced that tax morale in the Czech Republic is at a high level,” adds Richterová.
