US President Joe Biden will address the nation and explain what steps his administration is taking to combat the pandemic and, in particular, the Omicron coronavirus strain. This was announced on Saturday, December 18 in Twitter White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
According to her, the speech of the American leader will take place on December 21.

Psaki clarified that the head of state will announce “new steps taken by the administration to provide assistance” to the residents of the country who need it, and also warn about the risks for those who have not yet been vaccinated.
“We are prepared for the growing number of infections, and the president will detail how we will respond to this problem. He will remind Americans that they can protect themselves from the severe course of COVID-19 by getting vaccinated and boosted,” said Psaki.
The Omicron strain is spreading “extremely quickly,” the World Health Organization said. Cases of infection with this strain on December 18 were detected in 89 countries, including in Ukraine.
The patient, who for the first time in Ukraine was diagnosed with Omicron, had previously had a coronavirus, and just a few months ago.
