President of the United States Joe Biden

The head of the White House specified that in the event of an attack by the Russian Federation, the American military will be sent to the countries of the Bucharest Nine on the eastern flank of NATO.

The United States does not intend to send its military to Ukraine in the event of a Russian invasion. This was stated by the American leader Joe Biden during briefing Saturday, December 11th.

So, when asked by one of the journalists about why Washington refused to deploy part of the army in Ukraine, the head of the White House replied: “This possibility has never been considered.”

At the same time, Biden clarified that during online summit with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, he warned the head of the Kremlin that in the event of an escalation, American troops would be sent to the countries of the Bucharest Nine (B9) located on the eastern flank of NATO (Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Estonia).

“We will have to send more American and NATO troops to the eastern flank, B9 – all those NATO countries for which we have a sacred obligation to protect them from any attack from Russia,” the American leader said.

According to the US President, “Putin realized the severity of the possible consequences.”

We will remind, earlier the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Biden assured him that Russia will not continue escalation.
