Lazio won the derby match against AS Roma with a score of 1-0. The match was fierce and was marked by a red card for Roma defender Roger Ibanez.

Roma broke into Lazio’s goal not long after. Nicolo Casale scored an own goal after chaos was created in front of Lazio’s goal following Pellegrini’s free kick. However, the goal was disallowed by the referee because Smalling was offside.

With this result, Lazio rose to second place in the Italian League standings with 52 points. While Roma are still stuck in fifth place with 47 points.
