KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Bank Indonesia (BI) decided to keep the interest rate at the level of 4.00% in the BI Board of Governors (RDG) Meeting in September 2020.
In addition, the central bank also held the deposit facility rate at 3.25% and the lending facility rate at 4.75%.
“This decision considers the need to maintain the stability of the rupiah exchange rate in the midst of low inflation,” said BI Governor Perry Warjiyo, Thursday (17/9) via video conference.
Perry also said that the central bank will also continue to strive to encourage economic recovery from the impact of Covid-19.
