BI control has changed, everyone can control themselves on the Internet

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Users who are experienced in bank loan products should be familiar with BI Checking. Now, a process similar to BI Checking i.e. checking the debtor’s track record can be done through the Internet.

Previously, the debtor track record management of financial institutions was handled by Bank Indonesia (BI) and has now passed to the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The name also changed from BI Checking to SLIK or OJK Financial Information Service System (SLIK).

Not long ago, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) launched its website idebku.ojk.go.id. The debtor information verification service, previously on BI Checking, will be accessible via smartphone, computer and tablet and can be consulted free of charge.

IdDebKu will provide unified and integrated Debtor Information between Head Office and Regional Offices/OJK Offices (KR/OJK) in one container. This information is related to regular credit and/or debtor financing.

The site is easily accessible via smartphone, computer and tablet. This service can be opened anytime, anywhere and is free.

“To respond to the high public demand for iDeb, OJK has developed a new application called iDebKu,” Dian said in a written statement.

Here’s how to access iDebku services for free on line:

1. Open the application via the website https://idebku.ojk.go.id. Then click the “Record” menu on the main page of the iDebKu OJK application.

2. The applicant fills in the registration data completely and correctly.

3. Upload a photo of yourself showing the instructions required by the app.

4. After successful registration, the applicant will receive an email with registration number information from OJK.

5. The applicant can check the status of the application in the “Service Status” menu by entering the registration number.

6. OJK will process the iDeb application and send the iDeb results via the applicant’s email no later than 1 business day after registration.

Earlier, Chief Executive Officer for Banking Supervision Dian Ediana Rae explained that the Financial Information Service System (SLIK) is an information system whose management is under the responsibility of the OJK. This aims to support the implementation of supervisory tasks and intelligence services in the financial sector.

SLIK stores information about the debtor or is called “iDeb”, which contains a debtor’s regular credit and/or financing history.

iDeb information is one of the most important in the loan or loan process. This data can be used by banking and non-banking financial services institutions to make decisions on the process of granting credit or financing to debtors.
